Mundane human by day, level 11 Abjuration Wizard by night… or level 6 Soul Knife Rogue… or level 7 Eldritch Knight Fighter.
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. A wonderful book that explores gender and sexuality in thought provoking ways.

For my part, I have no interest in Silver Elites (but absolutely no objection to it) but I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of Ravenloft: Heir if Strahd. You keep writing and I’ll keep reading. You have fans rooting for you, so that has to put a little swagger in your stride.

The vast majority of authors struggled to get published, typically while juggling another career. And publishers have no idea what will work. They chase trends and throw spaghetti at the wall and pray.

My wife and I both worked in book publishing for 30+ years and from my perspective, little has changed. There were always the big (random) winners, but the vast majority of authors just struggled to continue to get published, typically while working another career.

BF #1’s loss for so many reasons. The book is pre-ordered and signed bookplate requested from the publisher. I’ve already played through Curse of Strahd with my Tuesday night D&D crew and can’t wait to read what you’ve done with Strahd and Barovia.

All the way back to Vampire of the Mists, you'll see lots of Easter eggs and callbacks. I wanted to write a book that was friendly and accessible to everyone. No more gatekeeping, just idiots taking risks as they grow stronger and go on an adventure together. It's out today. I hope you dig it! 9/9
