Death and grief are terrible things to reckon with but it’s also a fundamental human experience.

we have great evidence that many people simply cannot use ai responsibly. enabling people to evade death and grief in this way is, I think, predatory on people’s basic humanity.

This week, NSF added *another* bizarre requirement: Now, applicants must submit official transcripts. The original solicitation -- as in past years -- permitted students to submit *un*official transcripts, which was free for applicants and far simpler.
