cop: do you know why I pulled you over?

me: because you had an emotionally distant father, an overbearing mother, married a woman just like her, your kids hate you, and you’re taking your anger and frustration out on me?

cop: [holding back tears] because your gas cap is open

This is what I’ve been telling my students for years. Thank you!
I made a bunch of one page tips on #gamedev with stuff that I learned over the years. It leans towards the direction + production side.

This is stuff that worked for me, maybe it can be of use for you.

Here is a thread of tips, starting with keeping your project on track with timeboxing

TTGDA statement on the recent US tariffs, and some FAQs about tariffs.

** Note: Two hours after we posted this, the US administration announced that shipments from China will no longer receive the "de minimis" exemption.

We urge US members, and all interested parties, to reach out to their representatives to urge for the repeal of the tariffs.

One of the hardest lessons I teach newer designers is:

People make decisions based on feelings and rationalise with intellect.

It’s tough because it sounds like a diss to some, but I promise you it is not.

Internalizing this opens up your potential audience exponentially.

I sadly missed the era of Sierra adventure games, and haven't played much, though I enjoy let's plays of them.

Often I get the urge to want to work on a Sierra-style adventure game one day. I think it would be interesting to put together, and a fun way to tell a story.

Started my migration today. Seeing which folks I followed on Twitter moved over here. Found a good chunk of them. That’s a good start.
