At the risk of sounding a bit too much like @izzy.dizzydeer.gay, after watching Episode 7 of 'Ruri Rocks: Introduction to Mineralogy' I'm gonna be pretty pissed if Ruri and Shoko do not get together by series end.

I mean, COME ON! It's there! It's palpable!!!

Having a 3D Printer in hands is giving me ideas. Dangerous ideas.

Ideas such as 'what if I modelled and printed a little model representing every 'High Frontier 4 All' patent card so I could make little models of my ship stacks during play?'

Terrifying.

I assume this has to do with licensing and the new BSG game that is coming out, but BSG: Deadlock is honestly one of the best space-capital-ship tactics games I've seen, so I'd suggest frankly grabbing it before the Nov 15 cutoff if you can.

Always wondered about this.

Surprised at just how realistic 'Ruri Rocks: Introduction to Mineralogy' is in its depiction of undergrad researcher life.

Up to and including the usage of people younger than oneself as a source of free, unpaid labour! 😀👍

If I had a penny for every movie based on a plastic toy IP that skilfully co-opted its mandate to advertise a product into an actually competent film with an actual message and something to say starring Will Ferrell in a somewhat antagonistic role, I'd have two pennies.

Which is like, REALLY weird.

This week (!) is the 30th anniversary of the announcement of 51 Pegasi b, the first exoplanet found orbiting a star like our Sun - since then, we've found over 6,000!

To celebrate, @alexwitze.bsky.social and @nature.com collected some astronomers' favourite planets:

Y'all should follow @hetlaursa.bsky.social, the English account of one of my favourite Brazilian artists, @hetthepumpking.bsky.social.
Not only is her art generally kickass, she's also super well-versed in Brazilian folklore, so if you dig that she's the gal, pal.
Veeeeeeeeeery old ocs that I redesigned a while ago.

And i mean it. The first one is 15 yo, the others were created almost 20 years ago.
