My parents were 37 and had already accepted that they'd never have a kid when I showed up, but few are that lucky.
It is a cruel joke that biology dictates how fast we have to figure ourselves out in order to feel ready enough to become parents, if it even gives us the chance at all

It’s even better when your house is raised off the ground to avoid flooding so several inches of uninsulated pipes are left fully exposed to the winter air

Surprisingly, I’ve only done solo comms once, back in 2023
