This week on Live Like the World is Dying, Miriam talks to Gabe & Kato from the Astoria Food Pantry, a radical space that has food, books, & RPGs, about how the project works, how giving away shit for free is so fucking cool, how awesome mutual aid distros are, & how we could sure use more of them.

A lot of people are, very reasonably, thinking of acquiring/learning about guns right now. Without trying to discourage that, please consider asking yourself some of these questions first:

Do I have and know how to use naloxone? A tourniquet? A chest seal? Do I know how and when to use an EpiPen?

Update on this: The City of Evanston isn't waiting for Flock to take the cams down, and staff have covered them up with bags and tape. Writing up a quick story to post before I go do (another!) citywide site visit to confirm all are covered (Picture taken yesterday by @joergmetzner.bsky.social)

Every flag is black in a fire!

"The black flag means negation, anger, outrage, mourning, beauty, hope, the fostering and sheltering of new forms of life and relationship with this earth. We are proud to carry it, sorry we have to, and await the day when such a symbol will no longer be necessary."

In headlines like this, it is clear for all to see that "outside agitators" is simply the term politicians use for "people the police intend to attack."

They always harp on their tired rhetoric about "outside agitators" because the thing they fear most is—solidarity.
