Just a reminder that ICE didn't exist until 2002. It's not some longstanding institution that must be maintained. It was created as a knee-jerk reaction to 9/11, and it could be gotten rid of as easily as it was created.

The devastation I feel about this attack on science in particular is hard to cope with. It’s like watching my dad die all over again. I would do anything to spare someone a death via pancreatic cancer.

I think racism genuinely is a mental disorder. Perhaps a deficiency. I don’t know what that means or if it makes it easier to do something about, but it sure seems to stunt people, preventing them from growing or improving, never mind flourishing.
