Firefighter: (sarcastically) It's a new era.

Me: It's our third new era. It's like the Downton Abbey movies.

Thinking of illegal orders... today is the anniversary of the 1864 Sand Creek Massacre when the US Army slaughtered 100s of Cheyenne & Arapaho people, mostly women & children. Captain Silas Soule refused orders and helped bring truth to light.

"The Art of Dying" by George Harrison has some of the best guitar riffs ever.

And I want it played at my funeral.

And, as much as it hurts to say this, Jackie Chan isn't the best of people either.
Rush Hour 4 is reportedly a go at Paramount – after Trump intervened on behalf of the movie.

I have this moral high ground when it comes to movies/TV shows. I have a list of people I absolutely will not watch their work until they are dead* and cannot profit from it. If the work is on DVD that someone or myself owns, that is a different story - depending on the work.

Here's my list:

A man almost was killed by the state after being convicted of this pseudo-science. Of course, it's Texas so he's still on death row.
Latest: The New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that expert testimony on "shaken baby syndrome," absent evidence of impact or other trauma, is inadmissible because of lack of scientific consensus on the diagnosis

Dozens of "shaken baby syndrome" convictions have been overturned over the years, but until now, no state court system has limited its use in criminal prosecutions.

Emmanuel, a 15-year-old with intellectual disabilities, wandered away from his mom’s fruit stand in October.

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

“They’re failing all of us,” his mom said.

So much wrong with this story. The deeper question is why two police officers went after a woman for supposedly stealing alcohol from a store.

Kroger has cameras. They could have gotten her license plate. Turns out, she didn't steal it. And now she is dead.

What are better alternatives? I have 3 indoor cats and one poops outside the box when her box isn't up to her standards.

And yet people were fired and arrested for saying negative things about Charlie Kirk. And a vice principal and brother arrested for comments online about ICE.
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Got in an argument on Reddit with someone saying people should call ICE and report criminals and suspicious people.

Look, I agree that if a person has committed serious crimes, they should be deported. Being here illegally is not a serious crime if you are here to work and make a better life.
