History and museums are my thing! And cake. And kitsch. And anything to bring a smile to this weary world!

The fact that there might be a conclave so close to a movie about one has really motivated me to finish my screenplay "The Tech CEO Who Died of Diarrhea So Explosive The Coroner Said He Had No Lower Back to Speak Of"

Go on- give an award winning independent museum in the Borders a follow! You know you want to…..
A crisp winter's afternoon looking out to the mighty Eildon Hill North from the fields of Trimontium, in the Scottish Borders. The largest #IronAge hillfort in Scotland, covers 39 acres, with evidence of over 300 roundhouses. The Romans built a signal station on Eildon North.

We’re open Wed-Sun 10-4.30 this week, with extended #christmasshopping hours coming soon.

*Emotional post klaxon!*
The last 2 years have been challenging with illness and bereavement taking their toll. Opening a small bookshop - a life-long ambition - provided a ray of light in difficult times. It’s therefore a joy to have a small mention here! Thanks Louise Boland and Fairlight Books!

When you create a great playlist to boogie to, which includes Its raining men by the Weather girls and then you hear the dulcet tones of Arnold Schwarzenegger telling you to thrust and strain things .

That’s the moment I realised I should have checked the song I added to my playlist

What the hell! Post 2- cute dog! This is Count Georgeula. Don’t look into her eyes too long, she will hypnotise you into thinking she’s a very good girl. (She’s actually a wee arsehole)
