A major problem in both the UK and the US is that our media have very effectively indoctrinated the general public into believing protest is bad, when it is an absolutely essential pillar of democracy.
I’m actually genuinely quite surprised at how negative the response is to the protests in LA. The ICE people are being nakedly lawless. The President is being nakedly fascist. And a bunch of people who didn’t vote for Trump are for all intents and purposes on his side. Very very weird behavior!
