The developer got exactly what they wanted next to their luxury condo tower:

An amphitheater that's USELESS for performances of any length due to poor bleacher design, jammed on a slope with a grade change of only 5 ft. Worse? Obstructed views of the Channel from every seat.

Good work, hucksters!
Grassy ledges were replaced by tightly-packed rows of uncomfortable bleachers. Claimed "head-to-toe" sight lines of an elevated stage? Judge for yourself. 👇 And an overlook with a railing necessitated by the stage, will obstruct views of the Channel — the original objective. bsky.app/profile/fort...
In an 11th hour decision, tightly-packed rows of uncomfortable bleachers replaced long-planned grassy ledges of tiered seating at 244-288 A St.

Letters to the Conservation Commission now falsely claim the bleachers offer "head-to-toe sight lines" of the stage.

Hucksterism.

Working with Sasaki and BPDA (2018-2019) thru public workshops, we planned a nature-based solution along Fort Point Channel edge:

An amphitheater w grassy ledges. The floor elevation (at 16.5' BCB) was already flooding w some frequency.

In 2021, a group of Fort Point broskis took control. (1/2)

NBC 10 Boston sent two reporters to Halifax. They understand the history and current context. 👍🏼

Thread 👇🏼
In 1912, the U.S. and Canada weren't allies—in fact, the Speaker of the U.S. House advocated for the violent overthrow of Canada to cheers in Congress.
But Boston's response to the devastating Halifax Explosion in 1917 changed everything, forging a deep alliance between our cities.

Just spitballing, but could Kim Driscoll be launching a bid for US Senate? It wouldn’t be unusual: John Kerry served as Lieutenant Governor before he ran for the Senate.

Some unusual tea leaves on OCPF…
Can someone shed light on what's going on? Is legislation proposed that requires attention from Lieutenant Gov. Driscoll? Something going on in Salem?

These October 2025 contributions seem to be very well-coordinated, and seem to be without precedent dating back in time.

Now who's waging a War on Christmas, huh?

Hmm… May have to screen Mississippi Masala — a Nair masterpiece starring Denzel Washington — outdoors in Fort Point next summer. Or maybe sooner!

Congrats to our next City Council President @gigi4district1.bsky.social.

As for the Herald's conspiratorial suggestion that there was a cloak of secrecy, excuse me... see below. Reporters have been floating updates and members of public have been weighing in, as I did a month ago.

Very unusual number of contributions from high-level WS officials to Kim Driscoll reported in October 2025. What could this coordination (or coincidence?) mean? Should Salem planners prepare for a multi-acre master plan being filed?
