It was great to celebrate with the Commonwealth Land Trust (CLT) at the Grand Opening of 570 Warren Street in Dorchester! The renovation provided 26 affordable, supportive homes, including 11 accessible units, highlighting CLT’s 40 years of partnership in preventing homelessness. ow.ly/8rmh50XuH2q

The Office of Housing Stability is hosting a free Virtual Legal Clinic tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4th, at 5:30 pm. Each week, OHS hosts free clinics where Boston renters and small landlords can speak with attorneys, mediators, and OHS staff to get help with housing issues. RSVP: ow.ly/qxIC50XjUaY

#TBT to January, when @mayorwu.boston.gov announced the Access to Counsel Pilot Program to provide free legal help in housing court for families with school-aged kids facing eviction. Led by OHS & BPS, it helps keep families stably housed and kids learning. Read the announcement, ow.ly/SO9E50XiA7c.
ACCESS TO COUNSEL PROGRAM A partnership between the Office of Housing Stability, Boston Public Schools (BPS), Family Aid Boston, and Greater Boston Legal Services. The Access to Counsel Program aims to prevent evictions in eligible households with students enrolled in K-12 schools. Access to Counsel will provide full legal representation for the family at risk, early on in the eviction process. This support can be provided at the Notice to Quit or hearing notice stage. The Access to Counsel Team will also coordinate other resources to prevent eviction. NON-BPS FAMILIES: Households without BPS students can access legal help through other programs offered by the Office of Housing Stability.
