Always will credit Tony Cs staff for keeping the kitchen open a bit later after I told them a wedding party of at least 20 peeps was right behind me. They all got extra from us that night. Almost always busy for gamedays. The Boston sports bar scene (a sad one already) is diminished by it's passing.

It appears Councilor @edflynnforboston.bsky.social deleted both my Facebook comment and video (see below) re. concurrent phasing and a fatality that occurred in Fort Point.

Councilor Flynn did not reach out to me. My comment was frank, but respectful.

Councilor Flynn is once again bashing colleagues for their "politics" this evening, misleading his constituents into believing his resolution on concurrent phasing was blocked.

Both restaurants now closed were in the same building on Massport’s property (250 Northern), owned by Rebel Restaurants (associated with Cronin Group), due to lease non-renewal by the landlord, Lincoln Property Company.

Same restaurant group owns exclusive restaurant rights at BCEC’s Lawn on D. 🤔

The City of Boston has filed a Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit by large commercial property owners alleging that the City has been issuing "retaliatory" taxes. Commercial owners spent a year waging a PR campaign before filing a suit.

The City of Boston's arguments are not yet docketed.

$7.7 million is cheaper for the Krafts than a campaign for Boston mayor

Does it seem like FIFA 2026 was poorly planned given all the 11th hour, non-trivial scrambles that are being reported?

And that seemingly every reported shortfall boils down to an over-reliance on public subsidies by a billionaire who himself ranks among the event’s leading beneficiaries?

Out-of-state billionaire Michael Rubin dropped a cool $1 million on billionaire Bob Kraft's son's mayoral campaign. We sent Josh packing.

Kraft is perhaps the Commonwealth's most vocal Trump/ICE enabler, dating back to 2016.

Not lining Kraft's pockets today. Take a hike, Bob.

During the recent Council presidency dust-up, many in the Boston media portrayed constant misbehavior as a "check and balance" on so-called "loyalists."

Any accountability in the press for bullying and abuse of resolutions to game PR? None. I mean NONE.

"Checks and balances?" "Independent voices?"

A small number of elected officials representing Boston have been completely AWOL when it comes to standing up to ICE on behalf of immigrants.

One Southie official found his voice in January 2026, only a few weeks ago, during an election year.

He’s still finding time to undermine Wu.
7 of 13 Councilors present at Mayor Wu's announcement of "Protect Bostonians" Executive Order yesterday:

Breadon
Coletta-Zapata
Culpepper
Durkan
Louijeune
Santana
Weber

I had a similar thought after reading MASSterlist today & GOP attacks on Healey.

The way to bring down housing costs is to legalize building by right; put public $ into Big-A affordable; & (IMO) develop state land & loan state $$ to unlock more building.

But for GOP these are all problematic 1/
Our three indistinguishable Republican gubernatorial candidates complain about the MBTA Communities Law while complaining about outmigration.

Housing costs are the #1 cause of outmigration. Please don’t put another pandering hypocrite in office.

Three (3) thoughts this morning:

Cycle lanes mean more to a city than mobility alone. They revitalize a city by attracting young people to the city, and investment surely follows.
