"Most people stayed with me in the bad times, but I had some people who were disloyal. And those people I'm going to destroy. Just for the sake of destroying them. If I ever have the opportunity."

Miller and Trump have the same inhalation-through-the-teeth behavior (in evidence during the last second or two of this clip of Miller) that happens just before they launch into an absurd pronouncement or lie. It must be some kind of psychological marker for depravity.

When half the internet doesn't work because of a failure of a single vendor, that vendor is a utility, in the same way that power, water, and, back in the day, the phone companies, are/were utilities.

"[Apple] has faced some blowback for hosting a Saudi app that allows men to track the movement of their wives and daughters. In 2019, Mr. Cook said he would investigate the app, but it is still available today."

After today's presentation by Epstein victims, everyone in this room should be ashamed.
everlasting shame on all these people

A shining example of Trump‘s incredibly meandering answers that go on forever but never actually address the question.

It’s akin to taking a toddler for a long drive in the car when they can’t get to sleep at home — the difference being that both Trump and his listeners are taking in the sights.
A lot of people criticizing Trump for not lowering grocery prices when what he's doing now is precisely what he said he would do on the issue while he was campaigning. To jog your memory: www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Column | Here’s how Donald Trump would lower grocery prices
During Donald Trump’s town hall in Pennsylvania, an attendee asked about grocery bills and inflation. Here is Trump’s response in its entirety.

All it took to start an epidemic was a sick person or two bringing the disease to town...

The same scenario could occur again if cracks develop in vaccination coverage."

Fewer than 30 Palestinians died in Israeli custody in the 10 years preceding the war, PHRI says."

Fox guest on how to save money during the holidays:

"Remember, adults don't need gifts. Focus on the people in your life who are aged 3 to 18. Grandma doesn't need slippers. If they don't live by you, don't get them a gift."

The Epstein emails are full of exchanges between Epstein, Bannon & others on the project of enacting Bannon's agenda, Euro & otherwise. Epstein steers, commends & advises, offering help and even his house.

"A right-wing resurgence in Europe is 'doable' but 'time consuming," Epstein told Bannon. 1/4
A review of the newly released Epstein emails by the Telegraph reveals that Epstein was carefully building networks with European fascist groups, starting with British fascist "Tommy Robinson" (Stephen Yaxley-Lennon). Why is unclear. Bu many of these groups are supported by both Putin and Trump.

BTW, E.B. White finished the 1940 essay that @chrisgeidner.bsky.social highlights in his piece with the following line:

"If freedom were denied me by force of earthly circumstances, I am the same as dead and would infinitely prefer to go into Fascism without my head than with it."

"Three members of the PayPal Mafia (Musk, Thiel, David Sacks) spent some or all of their childhoods being indoctrinated in the South African supremacist education system...

Peter Thiel... was educated in an apartheid Christian school where they still greeted each other with 'Heil Hitler.'" 🧵
The civilizational system of control Trump, Musk, Thiel, and many of their ideological coattail-riders seek to establish is a form of neo-feudalism.

This is why the neo-Ancien Régime of Trump and the PayPal Mafia needs medieval solutions.

A Minnesota climate change indicator:

The date of peak fall color has been moving ever later, as summer extends further each year.

In the 1970s, the peaks in Carver County (just west of Minneapolis) clustered in late September – early Oct.

In the 2020s, the date is pushing well into mid–October.
