There's lots of data about the usage of web constantly declining, replaced by time on closed platforms (FB, Insta, TikTok) and apps. I think it's true.

When we say defund the police, this is something that funding could be put towards. We don't need to pay police to trash homeless camps when we use that money to make it so less people are homeless. Police take up HUGE amounts of city budgets that could be put towards social good.
Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.
They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.
The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Republican anti-trans bills specifically support medically unnecessary genital surgery on intersex infants. Unlike underage trans surgeries, these are actual, commonplace procedures with lifelong adverse effects. Somehow they still claim to care about protecting kids.
