Albertans have good reason to be angry: their real wages are down 10%, their minimum wage is frozen, their inflation is worst in Canada, their health care's at risk. None of that was caused by the rest of Canada. My take in today's @TorontoStar: www.thestar.com/business/opi.... #cdnecon

Today is Red Dress Day.

As an Indigenous woman, this day is deeply personal. We carry the stories of our sisters, our aunties, our daughters — too many taken, too many still missing.

Red Dress Day is a day of remembrance. But it must also be a call to action.

ucp has kept alberta at the lowest minimum wage across canada, however, a federal job will pay you almost $3 more/hr #ableg
Albertans are struggling to make ends meet on the wages they receive. But we now know that the UCP govt spent $10,000 for the Premier to get a selfie with Donald Trump at Mar a Lago. No deal, no jobs and no benefit to Albertans. #ableg #abpoli

Look, I don't think that "angry yokels" are driving the movement for prairie secession in Canada. It's a movement with elite leaders--Preston Manning, Danielle Smith--who believe that their provinces are getting a bad deal from the Canadian federation 1/n
