Since the discussion about whether we should listen to politicians and pundits we don’t agree with seems to be happening again, I cannot emphasise enough how I’m not here for a bracing ideological workout. If I want to challenge my own ideas, I read serious journalism or books.
It’s exactly this. I’m here for fun. I’m not getting paid. It just livens up my day to have a bit of chat with some nice, entertaining people and see Moo Deng memes.
The thing that all these “Bluesky is an echo chamber” takes leave out is that most of us aren’t here for political or philosophical debates with strangers.
Mostly it’s to socialize with friends and talk shit about stupid things. Having a Nazi yelling at you doesn’t enhance that experience.

The UK should immediately set up relocation grants & visas for US pharma companies to relocate to a country that isn't going to destroy world leading research though idiocy.
