Here it is, the thing I’ve been working on for most of this year: I’m launching a podcast studio, @goodjudypods.bsky.social! AND we have a series in development! I’ve written a piece explaining why I’m doing this and why I need your help. I hope you’ll check it out: open.substack.com/pub/chrisdst...
What would our mayor know about being helpful
In the Skyway 20 minutes after an ice abduction, mayor Frey walks through the government center. A lady yells at him "what are you doing to stop this? Fuck you." He responds, "is that helpful?" With a smirk on his face.

Anyone in Minnesota will tell you that this matches the eye test. They are simply grabbing anyone who's not white. Full stop. There is no other strategy to this at all. It's a racist, heinous federal occupation.

Dismantle the agencies.
Prosecute everyone involved.
Redistribute all the funding.
A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

The ‘abolish ICE’ door is cracked open and every one of us needs to push and keep pushing.

‘He’s not the same’: Father of Liam Conejo Ramos says 5-year-old continues to suffer

Totally, it’s a central tension for so many of us right now. I’m going to do my best to protect everyone who shares a story. And the podcast series won’t be out for a quite a while - hoping that when it is we’ll all be in a very different place ❤️ I really appreciate your help getting the word out!!

There’s more info on the website but here I’ll say: in general folks are welcome to include their name if they wish but definitely aren’t required to. Any information that violates someone else’s privacy or safety will be promptly deleted. Callers should exercise caution + care about what they share

I want to hear how you’re taking care of your neighbors right now. What mutual aid are you participating in? What efforts have you seen or been part of? What do you want future generations /people outside our state to know about how Minnesotans showed up for one another during Operation Metro Surge?
February 9, 2026 at 9:40 PM
Minnesotans: I’m trying to help document this moment in our state’s history for an audio project on mutual aid. I’ve been doing some in-person interviews, but we’re all spread so thin right now. The simplest way you can help is by leaving a message with your story of mutual aid at 1-844-WE-HLP-US ☎️

The incredible outpouring of mutual aid and community care during Operation Metro Surge got us thinking: we don’t want these stories and lessons to be forgotten. So we’re reopening the WE HELP US hotline to help document this moment in Minnesota. Call 1-844-934-5787 to share your story of mutual aid

The difference between Friday being another day of protests and being a trial run of a general strike is what you and me and the Twin Cities working class do between today and Friday.
Make your own plan.
Talk with your coworkers.
Ask businesses and bosses to close and observe the demands.
