I've tried to give Kaiser Permanente the benefit of the doubt. It's what I imagined healthcare for all would look like. Not perfect but decent care. But I'm done. I went to the ER with severe injuries, including likely torn ligaments in my knee, and they won't even examine it for nearly a month. 1/x

centrists will tell you to your face that we all need to abandon identity issues, and focus on kitchen table issues instead and yet when a leftist candidate runs a generational campaign based on kitchen table issues, it's the centrists weaponizing identity politics to smear the leftist.

It is our duty to fight for our freedom.
It is our duty to win.
We must love each other and protect each other.
We have nothing to lose but our chains.

I take it all back, there ARE violent criminals on the streets of San Francisco. They're grabbing people off the street and pepper spraying journalists.
Reporter Eddie Kim went downtown to cover the detainment of an immigrant by ICE this morning.

Then he was pepper-sprayed in the face by an ICE agent standing a foot away. Completely unprovoked.

See our exclusive story and video from

I reported from an ICE action on Sansome and all I got was a face full of pepper spray
Federal agents are stepping up their actions against protesters and, apparently, the press

Liberalism ENABLED the end of slavery, but did not drive it. Slaves themselves ended slavery & Haiti was founded as a result.
A new biography by @juliagaffield.bsky.social tells the story of Jean-Jacque Dessalines, who France demonized in revenge. My @liberalcurrents.com interview:
"Thomas Jefferson—who refused to recognize Haiti’s independence—still holds a place of honor in the liberal political canon, while Jean-Jacque Dessalines, responsible for Haiti’s Declaration, is a virtual non-person—if not a pariah." www.liberalcurrents.com/desallines-a...
Desallines - A Maligned Hero Gets His Due
Dessalines was a man of action more than ideas, but his actions helped bring these ideas into existence, along with a wide range of revolutionary thought around the world, inspired by Haiti’s example.

1. The extra marginal tax rate will affect millionaires' daily lives almost not at all, which is why in reality none of them would leave the state.

2. When you have this much money, your accountant/financial folks are already making you as tax efficient as possible.

Despite previous concerns, Massachusetts' "millionaire's tax" hasn't seemed to deter high-earners from continuing to live here, according to a new study from the Institute for Policy Studies.
