#BHN Hey Mr Seymour, if te tiriti is an agreement between "two races" and one is Māori, who is the other?

"English" is not a race
"The Crown" is not a race
"White" is not a race

Is it because it's not?

Correct, it's an agreement between the landowners and the Crown #nzpol @chewienz.bsky.social

Do you want to know what a loss of hope looks like? This is the percentage increase in the number of people migrating away from NZ since the election. The 131,100 migrant departures in the October 2024 year are, provisionally, the highest on record for an annual period

50,000 people
November benefits data is out. Will post more later.
It is important to understand the harm being done here.
We have added 50,000 people to working-age benefits in the last 18 months. It has typically taken us five fking years (and a housing market boom) to get back from that #NZPol.

Mihirangi Forbes to David Seymour "Do the ACT party have any links or connections to the Atlas Group"

David Seymour: "No"

Yet in reality not only is David Seymour connected to Atlas the literal ACT Party general manager and party secretary has connections with Atlas as recent as last year #nzpol

This is happening on the National Party’s watch.

Tax cuts for unproductive housing speculators, firing masses of public servants, stopping construction projects - all pulling the rug out from under the economy. The multiplier effect multiplying the damage. #nzpol

NZ can be so much better than this. Our next Labour government will be focussed on getting back to basics. A place for everyone to call home. World-class public health & education. Support for those that need it. And good guardianship of our natural environment. www.labour.org.nz/speech-chris...

Hmmm…I thought ACT and NZFirst were against mandates and pro body autonomy…how did this get passed?

Because ‘hypocrisy’ maybe?

This death is tragic and underlies the total failure of the boot camp system. In 4 months at a cost of 8.7 mil this vanity project has taken 10 kids and

1 has died
1 is on the run from police
1 stole a car and is back in the system
1 left after 2 weeks

Imagine if the $ was spent on actual support
Bootcamp participant dies after accident, another on the run after absconding
The Herald understands the death was caused by a car accident.
