I have had a day where, despite not having seen the Todd Phillips movie or its sequel, I have gained comfort by thinking "I'm gonna become the Joker." I have no certain idea what this might actually mean, but life is making a clown of me today.

I find I have a knack for judging books by their covers, but it may also be that book marketers are accurate in designing covers to attract the audience on vibe. I will pick up a book off a library shelf from an unfamiliar author and by title, occasionally find something fascinating and perfect.

My life lately has been shambling. It is a symptom caused by other parties serving me a cauldron mix of sick absences, vacations, and late notice of priorities. It is a bitter brew to stomach and it greets me each morning as I awake in darkness.
Why do I persevere?
Because sometimes life is undying.

I bought a lovely loaf of sourdough yesterday and offered it to my office. But I wanted to have apple butter to compliment it, so I brought some this morning, only to discover I had already stashed an open jar of apple butter in the office fridge. So I am consistent in my habits and desires.

My state of mind is akin to speeding down a highway. I was not paying mind to comparing my speedometer to the listed speed limits. However, in the flow of "traffic," everything is going terribly fast as if those signs were antiquated and outdated notions.

Listening to the James Cameron episodes of "What Went Wrong" podcast for "The Abyss" and "Titanic" back to back is mix of awe and stress. The guy is equally obsessed with realism and the depths of the ocean. Often both. Nearly kills his cast and burns out his crews. He lives for this.

Had an epiphany for why I am forgetting something in my schedule. It is because the premise for participation is mildly uninteresting and highly obligatory. There is a maximal FOMO possibility but minimal opportunity to imagine an upside. So I have actively not thought about it.
