If you are in a snow area, krampons on you shoes for traction or take an old pair of solid boot and put screws through the soles with the points down and going though just enough to get a grip on snow or ice. Those guys don't have it for some reason. Make them wipe out and break a leg.

Please be aware that if you pick up a tear gas canister with your bare hands, you will get minimum 2o burns.
If you use gloves, the police will be able to smell the methyl chloride propellant on them.
Use a rigid non-porous item or carry multiple sets of heat-proof gloves.

I remember a thing about put traffic cones over tear gas cannisters and then water them. Also, you can easily make shields out of plastic garbage can lids.
And never wear shirts/shoes/hats with logos. For shoes, gaffer’s tape over distinctive marks/logos.

The irony is, there actually IS one person I can think of who talks eloquently, and often, about how his faith informs him as a person and a citizen, and who does it in a way that even atheists listen to and respect. But CBS canceled his late-night show and it’s going off the air in May.
