ai generated videos have the same vibe as those nightcore amvs that were just windows movie maker diashows of generic sourceless anime art with barely any relation to the song content

"Why don't people like me?"

Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, I struggled to keep friends. I always ended up being "too much" for people.

Too loud. Too weird. Too annoying.

But after all this time, I finally realized—I don’t have to make myself smaller to be worthy of love. ❤️‍🩹

It's not hallucination, it's the statistical analysis doing exactly what it is supposed to: slurping up the Omegaverse to learn what word is likely to follow this word.

One way of thinking about genAI is:

Suppose you steal every English word on the internet, and then look up what words are most likely to follow the word "throbbing."

And then whenever you see "throbbing" you slap on a likely word

You're gonna end up talking about throbbing dicks in weird contexts

"We instituted a guardrail against suicide" means they simply grep for the word in its outputs and hardcode a response.

User instead uses a different word, not on that list? It goes right ahead and convinces them to do it while calling them a king.

Because it was trained on all the words.

It's a guardrail in the same sense any forum's list of banned words is, and is circumvented in the exact same way.

And, genAI literally stole all those forums to train on.

Also. Pronomen.

I kinda hate that I can't compensate my auditory processing issues entirely on my own. I'm reliant on others adjusting their communication for me.

I can compensate/accomodate all my other issues/disabilities on my own (or there's just no solution at all). I hate that I'm so powerless about this

It’s global apartheid, a pyramid scheme, and landlord economics all rolled into one

and it makes people lazier, less educated, and less talented, which is exactly the type of population these oligarchs need to seize and maintain control

But at least we get cool profile pictures out of it, right?

They plop their massive, polluting data centers into black neighborhoods

They have to underpay, overwork, and exploit workers in Africa just to get it to function

The “training data” is stolen work of creatives and academics

That data is then used to steal opportunities from those same people

The big “why do you hate AI?” Thread got comments and quotes turned off, but here’s the main reason I hate AI:

It’s being developed by the worst people on the planet solely to enrich themselves at the expense and labor of the world’s vulnerable populations. Everything else stems from that

One thing you quickly learn about conspiracy theories is that a whole lot of them are just someone accidentally figuring out what capitalism is but being a little too racist or something to take the next logical step

does anyone know why specifically 70s colour photo prints look like... that?

They look like someone manually coloured a black and white photo. Something about the lighting and saturation is just weird.
It's only a thing for ads and mass prints, actual photos don't look like that.
