I've decided to limit myself to the certain objectivity of internal time, so please excuse excessive displays of interiority.
what's the point of being on a social media platform then?

I see posts like "Calling himself king is just bait, low hanging fruit, a distraction" and I'm like...no, a POTUS declaring himself king and unilaterally overruling state laws, while saying only he can interpret the laws, not SCOTUS, is the worst possible thing. Other things are the distractions.

War crime. Straight up.
"Israeli soldiers can be seen dressing Palestinian detainees in uniforms and flak jackets, putting cameras on them and sending them into badly damaged houses and tunnel entrances with their hands bound by plastic ties." www.haaretz.com/israel-news/...
IDF uses Gazan civilians as human shields to inspect potentially booby-trapped tunnels

Washington Post reporter on MSNBC now saying the Harris campaign isn’t giving them press conferences, but Trump does, and that’s gonna REALLY hurt her.

I think failing to keep the minimum wage a living wage is a huge factor in the extremism on the right AND the left. When one person could support a family with one full-time job, there were FAR fewer extremists wanting to burn it all down and start over. Just peg the wage to cost of living, forever.

I don't feel alienated by the fact that Shapiro wasn't picked. I feel alienated by the whisper campaign against Shapiro & the clear antisemitism involved. I don't know why Harris picked Walz, but imo, Shapiro was the superior choice. Not because he's Jewish. Because he's a fighter from a key state.

Trump’s performance was both so predictable and so horrific that either his campaign is unusually incompetent or this was intended as red meat to his base, viz “watch me shit on these black people.”

It's ok to feel however you feel.

Heartbroken for the man who devoted his life to public service and achieved so much, but who has to step down now, when he wanted to keep fighting, or overjoyed for Kamala Harris, who fought so hard and put up with so much and is finally, FINALLY getting a chance.

Biden has been a good president but ultimately this crisis is happening because he lacks the quality that all Democratic elected officials must possess: a willingness to instantly give up in the face of setbacks

good advice
I would like to suggest one thing, though, if it's possible: whatever your stance about this, instead of automatically insulting the people you're disagreeing with, maybe recognize that this is a complex issue reasonable people can and do disagree about, and focus on your reasons for your stance.
