Hospitals (and anyone else), this is why you shouldn't act preemptively and weakly like this. You just become his pawn.
NEW: The Trump administration is now bragging about hospitals that are preemptively pausing, reviewing, or stopping gender-affirming medical care for those under 19 following Trump's anti-trans executive order relating to health care, asserting, "Promises made, promises kept."

“We must end gender ideology,” say the people who believe that heterosexuality should be enforced with state violence and that women should have the legal status of permanent children.

i hope the terfs who campaigned against trans rights bc “girls who would be tomboys are being convinced to transition” realize that this legislation is one breath away from banning all gender nonconformity. they’re coming for the tomboys too, bitch, they always were
3. Definitions section e is the only applying to trans youth, but its a doozy... it says that Social Transition is going to be a big part of the EO (stopping it), and this includes using a different name, pronouns, bathrooms, and sports.

This hints that the purpose of the EO will be to target this.

Surreal being a trans person on this website this week. Every single one of my trans friends is making emergency preparations in case Trump bans our health care while fighting off existential dread and depression, and 99% of the cis people i follow seemingly have nothing to say about the trans EOs.

“Any violation of your boundaries can potentially be a trauma. Trauma is anything that is a distressing event that changes you in a way that is undesirable.”

i’ve seen a lot of definitions of trauma and this one is the best. it’s so succinct yet nuanced!

not that this particular mechanism really matters anymore but demanding that federal employees take a loyalty oath to the president is imo an impeachable offense
Anyone who takes a loyalty oath to Trump should be prevented from ever holding a position of trust in the federal government. It’s absolutely disqualifying.
Again, when we have power again, every single federal employee hired under Trump must be immediately fired and replaced by people who care about liberal democracy

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.
