what i'm learning here is that the british courts have set a precedent that so long as you replace the phone, you can snatch and smash up the property of a person who is particularly annoying to you and it won't be considered harassment. you can also use the internet to stalk teenagers in the uk.

To state the obvious, Western journalists, writers, and filmmakers need to talk more about our colleagues being murdered in Gaza and the West Bank. You can do it from pure self interest if you want: every journalist murdered with impunity is a precedent which is headed in your direction

Brianna Ghey wasn't killed because she was unsafe online. She was murdered because two of her classmates decided that it would be fun to murder a trans girl.
It absolutely guts me that one of the "faces" of the UK censorship act is a trans girl who was murdered for who she was.

Ferguson was really an eye opener for me. I was watching live streams on Twitter seeing multiple people from multiple angles document something in real time and then in the news the next day it would say the complete opposite of what I saw. truly rewrote my lifelong neural pathways
i remember watching the ferguson protest live and seeing cops deliberately escalate when the crowd was entirely peaceful. told a friend; they couldn't believe it. hope people see and believe their own eyes now.
