Thank you, @othersidelitmag ❤️ I won't lie, it was really hard to try and summarise my relationship with writing in just a few words, but I did my best.

These days, in many places, many things can’t be said directly. Can we say them in poetry?

Spot on, with the caveat that any attempt to challenge the narrative coming from the person being thus targeted usually results in repercussions. That is why privileged peers should speak out and advocate more but perhaps that's too much to hope for.

Resharing an older blog post because this is not the time for mindless gratitude. The world is on fire, it has been for a long time, and that fire is expanding. Be loud and lean into your anger. Do not self-silence, there are too many of those that would silence us anyway.
Attitude of angry-tude
How do you feel today? How do you really feel? To be honest, I’m not feeling that great. In fact, every day I feel myself getting angrier, more heartbroken, more disappointed. How could I not…

"She spent hours by the roadside, pulling weeds, waiting
for a car that wouldn’t bring him back. I think she
wanted a new boy to bury, something fresh to grieve."

The Roma is a profoundly personal portrait of a people and their on-going journey, shedding new light on their history and what it means to be Romani in Europe today. It is a history that is not widel...
