🚨 The Home Office disclosed via FOI that whilst surveillance imagery is not being used to determine asylum cases, they are being used to prosecute under Sections 24 and 25 of the Immigration Act 1971. Read more: buff.ly/27S8Olf

⛔ Belfast has consistently recorded the highest figures for immigration raids in the UK since 2018

That's according to a recent report compiled by the @migrantsrights.bsky.social

It found some 1,277 raids had been carried out in the BT3 area alone between Jan 2022 and Sept 2023.

There should be no hierarchy to human suffering. But asylum or humanitarian policies are created as if there is. Safe routes should be available to all nationalities, not just the select few like Ukrainians. buff.ly/idJiM6D

Claims of #patriotism and flag-waving accompany Government moves to make #migrants more insecure, including targeting people seeking asylum who have to cross the Channel in small boats. They are claims to what the UK ‘is’ and who is included in it.
