Three out of five men in this shot have been accused of sexual misconduct, harassment or abusive behaviour towards women. A fourth signed into law a near-total abortion ban in his state as governor.

A federal judge in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday ordered federal immigration officers to stop making arrests there without a warrant unless they could show that a suspect was a flight risk.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

in a sane world, this would be an impeachable offense & articles of impeachment would be drawn up tomorrow.

just as Jimmy Kimmel’s case wasn’t about Jimmy Kimmel - but about state sanctioned censorship - the Jim Comey case isn’t about Jim Comey. It’s about the rule of law versus authoritarianism.

Just a reminder that in the Los Angeles ICE case, Justice Kavanaugh's concurrence played up the extent to which those *not* properly subject to immigration arrest were detained "briefly" and released "promptly."

That wasn't true in L.A., and it isn't true here.

A lawsuit laying out, step by step, just how cluelessly, dangerously wrong Justice Brett Kavanaugh's opinion and the majority's vote from earlier this month were. www.lawdork.com/p/scotus-tru...
WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

I think it would be helpful if DA Bragg charged a few of these assaults. If the agents think that federal law immunizes them for actions that would result in ordinary New Yorkers being charged, let them litigate it.
I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

Justice Kagan, dissenting, says the majority will clearly overturn Humphrey's Executor soon—but objects that "our emergency docket should never be used, as it has been this year, to permit what our own precedent bars," or to "transfer government authority from Congress to the President."

the sycophancy for trump aside, very hard to overstate the arrogance of this majority in dispensing with a precedent that has served this country and both of its political parties well for nearly a century.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from Justices Sotomayor, Kagan & Jackson, #SCOTUS grants a stay in the Slaughter case (allowing President Trump to remove the last Dem member of the FTC), *and* grants certiorari "before judgment" to decide whether to formally overrule its 1935 ruling in Humphrey's Executor.

This is an agent of the US federal government, armed for live-fire combat against a modern army, slamming a passive and nonviolent female candidate for the US Congress into asphalt.

Then walking away without checking if she has injuries, with his identity concealed behind a black facemask.
moments ago, ice agents again came out of the broadview detention/“professing” facility to escort a silver suv out of the lot.

one of the agents picked up and threw congressional candidate kat abughazaleh to the ground.
