A reminder that every time Ru appeals to legal arguments (Ru constitution includes Ukr regions; Ru can't legally sign w Ukr because martial law has postponed elections), we should laugh. Ru law is utterly devoid of legality; it's a pure instrument of the state for post hoc justifying its actions.

1) US is shown to be venal, corrupt and easily bought
2) Europe is weak, welfare-obsessed and divided
3) NATO has nice gear but zero decision-making power and inept at confronting asymmetric attacks

I genuinely believe that civic education and political education has failed across the board throughout the Western world. We did a really bad job at educating people on how our democracies work, what parties stand for, etcetera. I'd like to take pol sci out of college and into highschools.
Too much of a drag finding out where to go and what to do and absolutely zero understanding of what the consequences of their actions will be because there was ni TikTok about it. 🤷♂️
