As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back

You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative

Russia is 100% responsible for this development.
Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have withdrawn from the Ottawa Convention banning anti-personnel mines, with Finland and Poland set to follow.

Russia has not been a Christian country since the 1930s, and will never be one. Russian police reports that the maximum church attendance is ~1.4 million, which in a country of 148 million is less than 1%. It’s basically a rounding error.

We had a mental health crisis in my household a little over a month ago. We have ‘good’ insurance. The stay was 6 days. The total (for hospitalization only, not ER or doctor fees) came to almost $20k. We are responsible for $5400 - for hospitalization ONLY. That’s GOOD insurance.

I hate it here.

Well. Good. 👍
1/ Why do Russian soldiers so often try to freeze or play dead when a drone approaches, in the apparent hope that it won't notice them? Russian warbloggers explain that instructors teach them to do so, based on outdated and incorrect assumptions. ⬇️

🇬🇧 is buying Sky Sentinel C-UAS turrets for Ukraine. These Ukrainian systems use EW and a 12.7mm Browning M2 HMG and are extremely effective against subsonic drones. Less then a year from prototype to production is also great speed!

The ironic part is that people who keep insisting NATO expansion matters are too simple for even this simple answer, though. 🤷‍♂️
this is the simple answer to people who keep saying NATO expansion matters. Sure, it matters because it presented an obstacle to Russian imperial ambitions. Putin didn't invade because he hated NATO expansion, he hated NATO expansion because he wanted to invade

No one has ever been able to adequately explain what Putin is meant to have thought NATO expansion would threaten him with, apart from limiting his expansionist ambitions.

"He was worried they'd invade Russia."

No he wasn't.

He just wasn't.

That's not a thing anyone thought might happen.

To all demanding UA hold elections: read Ukrainian history from the 2000s.

I promise you, if Ukrainians had a problem with lack of elections - we'd all know about it.

If they wanted Zelensky out - we'd all know about it. You're self-serving against people you're no match to.

Attacking Taiwan with cavalry sounds like it would make for some funny videos, not gonna lie.
Russia would back China in a potential war over Taiwan, according to FM Sergey Lavrov. Moscow again rejected any form of Taiwanese independence, calling the island an inseparable part of China. The statement comes as Beijing tests new hypersonic anti ship weapons.
