russia sends a message to Azerbaijan.

A bold strategy.
Putin has to apologize yet again to Aliyev. Perhaps Azeris should request more forceful solutions?

Americans aren’t loving it, but billionaires know that there’s also nothing Americans can do about it.

(Though, to be fair, they _could_ invest in lobbying, in theory…)

All oil operations at the port of Novorossiysk have been halted. This is reported by Reuters. It comes only three days after the latest Ukrainian strike against oil infrastructure in neighboring Tuapse.

Great article about reforms inside russian MoD.

Rather than promoting militocracy —at least in the MOD today —we see a growing cohort of civilian background leadership emerging to steer the vast ship of Russia’s military-fiscal state.

You really think intellectual property theft is a legitimate 'business model'? Perhaps you should move to PRC to live your dream 😂

Happens when you keep educating/producing industrial workers but there are only 10 billion people in the world and they don’t need a new cell phone or computer every 6 months, I guess? 🤷‍♂️
Pretty much every cell phone or computer company here now has a line of high- end EV’s. This is a very different business model from a traditional car company.

New hip insult you'll be hearing everywhere soon:
"Was this made by Al?"

Especially effective when mentioned while watching a film (especially a big budget one) or listening to the new release of a song (preferably by a big pop star).

BlueSky could have shared a screenshot of my tweet showing the Oct 10 timestamp and that I was using Johnny Cash lyrics to quote-tweet about an article on Johnny Cash. Instead, they made it look like I issued a random death threat and falsely claimed I posted it this week. They should apologize.

BlueSky is a bad site used by good people. That describes most social media sites. But BlueSky is egregiously unethical. Any of you can be disappeared for baseless reasons. I've been on social media for 17 years and never been suspended. BlueSky is the first place to do so – over Johnny Cash lyrics.

Western escalation management in action:
1. Total control over the russian people and maximum increase in weapons production.

2. Building a global "anti-Western axis" including Iran, North Korea, China, and unfriendly regimes in Africa and Asia.

3. Preparing for offensive actions in Europe.

Russia has begun using long-range, jam-proof drones controlled by fiber-optic cables to threaten Ukrainian logistics.

The 50-km range exceeds what most known fiber-optic drones can achieve on the battlefield.

Russia is now using fiber-optic drones with a 50-kilometer reach, a senior Ukrainian official told Business Insider.

I'm thinking of all the nasty stuff in Chomsky's record.

Denying the Cambodian genocide. Supporting Milosevic. Denying the Bosnian genocide. Undermining anti-Communist dissidents in Western academia. Cheering the death of Venezuelan democracy. Spreading Russian propaganda.

This is long overdue.
Can't wait to see him whatabout this one.

For the last 30 years, throughout much of Western academia there have been a lot of leftwing academics who sidelined, belittled, and tried to lecture over scholars and dissidents of former communist countries, on the topic of communist tyranny. I think this is gradually coming to an end.
Chomsky is terrible. We chastise the "right" for not listening to experts, but here the far-left has been listening to a linguist about foreign policy and economics. It's ridiculous. He uses big words and seems to say the right things about "wealthy people bad"... then he's best buds with Epstein.

Mission accomplished: Ukraine’s strikes on Novorossiysk forced the port to suspend oil exports, and Transneft has temporarily halted crude deliveries to the site, according to Reuters. A major blow to Russia’s Black Sea logistics and energy infrastructure.

The whole point of deregulation in the United States is to screw people over, absolve corporations of their (even contractual) obligations and to have lawyers something to do.

It might take 10 years more for people to reach a breaking point, I think. Without Republicans going insane would be 20+.
I wonder how many billions of dollars a year is wasted in the US just fighting with health insurance deductible/copay/approval/coverage lies.

Like, there's a whole apparatus at every level employing probably tens of thousands of people just to fight on either side of that scam
