This is so important. I know a few young men, including some recent college grads, to whom this applies. Fortunately they do have family and friends to provide support and real life companionship, but online betting and dating can be a slippery slope. Thank you @amandamarcotte.bsky.social
People have a good reason to resist acknowledging the male loneliness crisis. They correctly perceive that women are being blamed and told to fix it.

But the real cause is predatory capitalists who profit on keeping men isolated and online.

Don’t “come out swinging.”

Start swinging NOW. Trump is way underwater and clearly ailing. I can’t imagine someone as Terminally Online as Vance can hold the coalition together.

MAGA is weak. It can be punched NOW.

EXACTLY

People thought they were voting for a populist demagogue who would target “bad guys” and lower inflation, and they got a Christofascist autocracy instead.
i'd say it did. the public put a group of thieves, vandals and extremists in office last november and they promptly went about destroying everything that might work to limit their ability to loot, steal and inflicting pain on the people they hate
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.

BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

Classic Trump playbook—use a lawsuit to delay justice and to hide evidence. I hope the Oversight Committee blows the lid off everything and releases more from the Epstein estate. I am sure there is a lot still available that directly ties Trump to Epstein; he’s terrified of what will come out.

Any member of Congress who ignores the pleas of Epstein victims needs to be pilloried and primaried for their support of pedophiles. It must be at the top of every political ad against them. They need to be asked why they’re covering up for Epstein, Maxwell, and Trump. Hold their feet to the fire!
Letter from Epstein survivors to Congress:

"Your primary duty is to your constituents. Look into the eyes of your children, your sisters, your mothers, and your aunts. Imagine if they had been preyed upon. Imagine if you yourself were a survivor. What would you want for them?"

It's too easy to be distracted by the economic story of the day. The more important story is of our system fraying: The rule of law is decaying, Bribery spreading, crony capitalism normalized. It won’t show up in next quarter’s data, but when our kids try to build their lives.

Had 4 years of outrage media coverage of Hunter Biden having a board seat but not quite as much energy directed to what is basically legalized bribery. Need your tariffs cut? Just hand Trump a <checks notes> $130,000 solid gold bar and a bespoke Rolex desk clock. Media shrugs.
