Congress must act immediately to stop these illegal strikes and hold the Trump regime accountable.

The kidnapping of Maduro and the attack on Venezuela are blatant violations of international law and the Constitution.

Republicans must stop enabling lawlessness and stand up now.

All the establishment war hawks, the same ones who supported the failed War on Terror, have come out with tepid support for Trump illegally bombing Venezuela and kidnapping Maduro.

It's a big club, folks.

They'll never, ever change.

Trump rejected our Constitutionally required approval process for armed conflict because the Administration knows the American people overwhelmingly reject risks pulling our nation into another war.

It’s hard to believe a president would time an illegal military attack to distract the public’s attention, but today is the statutory deadline for DOJ to release its report on the Epstein file production. Maybe it is just a coincidence.

Next time you look at your greatly increased monthly bill for healthcare, remember that Republicans chose to use the money set aside for supplements to defray your costs to, instead, invade Venezuela to make ExxonMobil even richer.

Thank them with your votes.

The regime sure is hoping those issues will disappear now!
There are two, maybe 2.5 over-arching issues animating American politics right now:

• the affordability crisis
• Trump's deep unpopularity
• the Epstein files (that's the 0.5)

What happened in Venezuela addresses none of these.

Moulton: "When we had briefings on Venezuela, we asked, 'Are you going to invade the country?' We were told no. 'Do you plan to put troops on the ground?' We were told no. 'Do you intend regime change in VZ?' We were told no. So in a sense, we have been briefed, we've just been completely lied to"

@kim.senate.gov @booker.senate.gov PLEASE SPEAK UP! Get on the steps of the Capitol and SPEAK UP!!
Members of Congress: stop posting online and APPEAR, PHYSICALLY on the steps of the Capitol to decry this unconstitutional violation of domestic & international law. SHOW THE PEOPLE the level of danger we are facing as a country.

No discussion of democracy. No discussion of elections. Plenty of talk by Trump about running the country and taking the oil. Let’s not forget to thank John Roberts for his role in immunizing this international criminal.

Hakeem Jeffries is absolutely worthless. His only demand is that Dems get a briefing on what just happened.

“We are going to run the country until we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition…judicious because that’s what we’re all about. … We’re going to take back the oil.”

This all sounds very familiar. Cheney and Rumsfeld must be chortling with glee from the depths of Hell.

Trump:

-“we’re going to run Venezuela” (maybe for a while)

-says 🇺🇸 oil companies will profit

-“we’re not afraid of boots on the ground”

Sound familiar? #Venzuela #IraqFiascoRedux

"Maduro is a brutal authoritarian dictator," I wisely intone, as the corrupt demented paedophile US President violating Constitutional Law while operating a gestapo and concentration camps illegally arrests a foreign leader on charges which read like they were written on a paper placemat in crayon.

A-freakin’-men!! OMG those Amendments must be followed properly. Thank you @audrelawdamercy.bsky.social
I know, I know, it's nigh impossible for me to look at a problem in and/or caused by the United States and not think 'if y'all would just take the Reconstruction Amendments serious....'

The president unilaterally decided to attack a sovereign nation and kidnap its leader, and now he says he's just going to run that county himself for a while too.

Call your representatives now and demand they impeach him.

I agree, @djrothkopf.bsky.social, but line that stood out for me even more was this one: “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivity.”

@hcrichardson.bsky.social did you hear this? @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is no cowboy!
This is a brilliant line that should make a lot of folks…in both parties…very uncomfortable. Yes.
Good.
