I like seeing these posts because it's very easy to feel glum on such a dreary, cloudy day, but seeing the perspective helps. Look at that blob of cloud. Look at the clear sky around it. Look at how easily it'll pass ☺️

Can I say something controversial? I can't do dark mode. I know it's like the cool thing, but it makes me eyes go so weird and shaky, and when I look away I have an imprint, and I just can't do it. I just changed my discord settings to light mode and I feel like a discord traitor.

In the pouring rain, a tiny wren jumps down from the large hedge onto the fence and preens itself in such a speedy blur, I can barely make out its shape to identify what he is. It's only when he pauses for a micro moment that his identity emerges properly, though his dinkiness was giving him away.

While I do appreciate my name, especially the fact it has an 'Eleanor Rigby' cadence, I do sort of envy the joy, ease and bounce with which Robin Ince always says 'and I'm Robin Ince'. It's a good name for saying aloud.

I realised today, listening to #ImSorryIHaventAClue, that I don't actually know the tune of Psycho Killer by Talking Heads, I only know it as a song sung to the tune of another. And over the years, it's been sung many times to many tunes 😂 Perhaps I should just keep it this way and not look it up?

I decided to model the verse "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" in bible study this evening by loudly calling my friend of nearly fifteen years a 'millennial traitor' for wearing wide-legged trousers.

Did a small amount of unpacking this evening and discovered that I own hundreds of rolls of wrapping paper, and approx 800,000 gift bags, which had been stashed in various places around my old room. So. At least I'm set for Christmas.

Niche post: a few weeks ago a phrase someone said made my brain go, "I've done it before and I'll do it again. I'VE DONE IT BEFORE AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN!" and I couldn't place where it was from. Anyway, I just put JFSP on and it picked up at the end of the Thomas the Tank Engine sketch. That was it 😂

Look what I discovered is just the other side of my bedroom view 😍 gosh, I'm so happy. You cross the brook, and then there is the countryside. I'm right in it. 2mins walk. I can be an outside person again and my heart is a bit bursty at the revelation.

I feel like this brief window of snow will have tv producers scrambling to rearrange filming of their christmas episodes/content to, like, immediately. Likewise, small businesses getting their Christmas promo images sorted. So rare we get a little flurry five weeks before Christmas, it's thoughtful.

Look, I understand that I am a plus-sized person, and I would like to be slightly less plus than I currently am, it's not my most comfortable. HOWEVER, I don't approve of clothes shops using S/M/L size grades by normal size increment?! I've just bought something in a *5XL*?! They've got 16 at XL?!

Stormy power cut renders all plans cancelled, leaving sitting with my kindle (and attached light) under a blanket for the next hour or so until fixed as my only option 🤷🏻♀️

How do I break it to my ACNH villagers that the reason I haven't spoken to them in a week is because I've been hanging out with Pantalaimon instead? 😬 I feel like they're not gonna understand.

Realised in the middle of the night that because the turnaround with the decorators was so much quicker than expected (and coming back last night was easier for parental plans than today) I forgot to go and say goodbye to Molly before I left again 😬 she gon be cranky again. Sorry Mollywobbles 😞
Have had the decorators in this week (not a euphemism) to paint the hall, stairs and bathroom. Went back to mum and dad's on Sunday night expecting not to be back until late Thurs or Friday. And yet. Here I am, back on my sofa, the job exquisitely well done. I'm so impressed, and also really happy!☺️
