Just, as Private Eye likes to say, fancy that! "On Nov. 12, NewsGuard reported that X’s AI chatbot confidently stated that Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election when prodded by three X users, raising concerns about Grok’s tendency to spread election denialism."

Farage and Zia Yusuf are going to announce tomorrow that a Reform government will strip millions of EU nationals of benefits, more than double the cost of the NHS surcharge and cut foreign aid spending by more than 70%, The Times reports.

More Trumpian blood and soil nonsense.

More good coverage on crypto fraud in the NYT this morning. Note the phrase "at least $28 billion". It is undoubtedly A LOT more than $28 billion because the technology is so perfectly designed to be untraceable AND this doesn't include all kinds of fraud. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/17/t...

A study for the European Central Bank has shown that just higher temperatures alone will, by 2035, be pushing food prices up by 0.9%-3.2% every year. Also they found a strong correlation between avge monthly temperatures and food prices 1-3 months later.
The most likely cause is reduced crop yields.

Quick reminder: the GOP’s “Big Beautiful Bill” wasn’t beautiful.

It blew up the deficit past $3T, gutted Medicaid, triggered automatic Medicare cuts, and will shove millions off healthcare.

Tax breaks for the wealthy.

Medical bills for everyone else.

Switching from gambling to crypto with football sponsorship: you might describe it as not really a switch at all.

As the warnings say: you could lose all your money.

Should football clubs not have some responsibility to fans?

Extraordinary story in Poland. Yet more sabotage.

Culpability not yet established, but all eyes will be on Russia. Poland has already arrested a total of 55 people only recently for illegal activities on Russia’s behalf. Hybrid warfare becoming part of European life.

On Thursday, Florida, by unanimous vote, became the first state in the country to adopt “The Phoenix Declaration: An American Vision for Education.”
It was written by the Heritage Foundation, the same group behind Project 2025.

1. Trump is in the process of sending millions in taxpayer money directly to his political allies — and himself.

The money purportedly is to settle legal claims.

But these claims are extraordinarily weak and have little to no chance of success.

In reality, it is a brazen theft.

This should not be a remotely controversial statement.
