When I testified to this committee in 2024, she asked a leading Qs about whether Trudeau's "soft on crime" bail approach is why my stalker was allowed to terrorize me for 10 years. I had to correct her and say "My stalker was never even arrested, let alone bailed out."

Her bias is so blatant.
If you want to talk statistics, Ms Roberts: in Canada it’s Indigenous women who suffer most at the hands of male abusers.

Maybe do your homework before you stigmatize a group you have a personal racist grievance against

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Though Mike Harris claimed it was done in the name of cost-cutting and efficiency, amalgamation has effectively gerrymandered municipal politics in Ottawa and Toronto and diluted the power of local residents over their cities and communities
It's been 25 years since One-Big-Ottawa was imposed on us. The world has finally taken note: this thing doesn't really work for urban or rural residents. I wrote about why and what's next.

I'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.

Yes. I am right. I am seeing how Chat GPT is ruining students critical thinking and writing skills in real time. It is not the future. It is a tool designed to render the populace helpless, to make people doubt their innate intelligence, and to foster overreliance on technology.
