Instead of spending money on stuff I don’t need, I’ve been buying postcard stamps. I’m only sorry it’s taken me until now to see that democracy is worth spending time and money on.

My kid volunteers for an English as a second language program. Part of his job is locking the church doors, keeping an eye out for ICE agents, and alerting an adult if they storm the church.

On the way to a big protest, this got us to pull over: a retirement community including many in wheelchairs or with walkers who rolled out to the street corner to express their 1A rights. ✊ Chatted with inspiring folks who’ve been civil rights advocates for decades. 🇺🇸

I envy the GOP for manufacturing and solving nonexistent problems like bathrooms. Must be so satisfying to get an A+ on every test you create.

To the people who are outraged that the press would interview a kid who survived, I ask why? His staying silent won’t reduce his trauma. And maybe it’s about F’ing time we listen to the kids.
