My gentle suggestion is if I can tell when I have crossed a local authority boundary because suddenly you can't do things like 'geolock when Lime bikes stop', maybe spare the rest of us from the idea that you should be part of a a Manchester-style combined authority model for London.

Fascinated by the very shit MetaAI suggested questions to follow up random bits of Facebook content, and the output is totally useless.

What is this for? Why have they embedded it in the app if it doesn't work?

Yeah, I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge.
But I was there,
I was there when Ravi Bopara scored a hundred for Northants at The Oval

we used to build household shrines to Going On The Computer and it's no coincidence that as we abandoned these we started straying further from god's light

fundamentally the problem is that if you think "hotels are where I stay on holiday and I like being on holiday so living in a hotel must be fun and it's not fair others get to do it and not me" then you have the intellectual reasoning of a little child and it's going to be hard to engage with you

It's absolutely insane to me that there's even discussion on this topic - just, obviously...
legit tho most of the responses to this guy's post are explaining restaurant revenue models and health code rules and I think we really need to work at a higher level here -- this is something you Don't Do because it is Rude and We Live In A Society

I think this is just obviously true. People whine and moan (often reasonably, often not) about lime bikes around London but their introduction in the last ~5 years has shown that there's a huge demand to cycle among children and young people that has previously been limited by availability of bikes
Someone I know in the active travel world has argued to me very persuasively that hacked Lime bikes could be one of the accidentally great public health interventions of our time, getting large numbers of teens, often from communities which cycle less, into the cycling habit at a young age.
I passed 11 stolen Lime bikes beeping and clicking away on a six mile cycle to central London yesterday. You’ve got to salute Lime’s enormous financial subsidy to teenagers who want to get into cycling and active travel.

watching england is a lot less stressful if you work on the assumption that the fourth innings target is going to be about 350-390, and everything that comes before is just manoeuvring

Amazing how UK political parties will see playing music with out earphones on a train as a massive problem that needs £1000 fines yet are completely silent and inactive when it comes to things like pavement parking which is also anti social and really affects lots of people.
