My gentle suggestion is if I can tell when I have crossed a local authority boundary because suddenly you can't do things like 'geolock when Lime bikes stop', maybe spare the rest of us from the idea that you should be part of a a Manchester-style combined authority model for London.

You absolutely never regret squeezing in more layers than you thought you could. Is so good the next day, too

Like you always slightly suspicious of that bit, feels a bit weird - but yeah its surprisingly nice. Normal benches to sit and bins!

Would have been gutted to see a 40yo Ravi Bopara score a ton for the underdog in a 14 over game and it be for nothing.

Thankfully... amazing

Yeah for sure, seemed destined for LL to win it that year, when he'd also started making it big for England. That runout feels like the sliding doors moment that meant he never really kicked on to be the world superstar he might have

Just completely wild for The Fringe to complain about something else putting pressure on the capacity of the city of Edinburgh in August!

Was in an Airbnb recently where the dishwasher, rather than preset programmes, just had 7 notch slider from "eco" to "power" and I absolutely respected that, loved having that choice in my hands

I feel like this is exactly the same in London- stories about schools in inner London Southwark, Islington, Camden, Wandsworth closing because there are no kids. But slightly further out, edge of zone 2 to 4 places are absolutely chokka with kids and nurseries full - Walthamstow, Penge, Brockley etc

Even in super NIMBY Britain where we also can't really build anything, you now mostly don't even need permission for rooftop solar, you can just do it

Oh for sure it's a terrible policy in lots of ways but I don't think it's in principle a bad thing - which some of the objection seems to be - for the government to extract back more than they paid in, when people withdrawing money for a non LISA allowed reason
