Australia is one of the richest countries on Earth, if we can afford $600m for a PNG footy team, we can certainly afford to properly fund our premier scientific agency

Australian governments just never tire of finding new ways to give our money to the fossil fuel industry…
Adani have scammed Qld out of $100s of millions and the LNP Gov are fine with that.

Great to see Labor and Greens pursuing this in QParl and the media.

The Australia Institute proudly co-hosted a climate summit yesterday, attended by people from all over Australia.

And although there were lots of different views, everyone agreed on one thing: it's time to stop the expansion of fossil fuels.

“What we’ve seen with ICE in the US is now becoming reality here".

Yes, but there's one major difference:
In the US, one political party is opposed to this abuse of human rights.
In Australia, deliberate racist cruelty is bipartisan. And has been for years. #auspol

More and more Australians are seeing through the spin, and working out that Australia being a US base for B52 bombers, nuclear submarines, marines and spy hubs is making us less safe. Much less safe.

In opposition, Labor promised stronger integrity and accountability.

The ALP didn't bother negotiating with the Libs when it changed IR laws, but now apparently it needs LNP support for environmental protection changes.

When govts want to do something, they do it.
When they don't, they use bipartisanship as the excuse.

No one here should fall for it

In politics there is much talk of a slippery slope.

When our government approves illegal bombing raids, after years of condoning genocide, we’re not at the top of a slippery slope, we’re halfway down the slide.

You don't understand! The ALP government has to support Israeli genocide, US war crimes, the destruction of the rule of law, and the north west gas shelf, because it only has a 51 seat lead on the Coalition. Something something Murdoch. They're really progressive, I swear.
