I'm looking for some estimate of how many days of lost productivity or cost or some other metric of impact on RACFs due to staff contracting respiratory illness when there's an outbreak at the facility. Any suggestions for reasonably reliable Australian data?

BIG NEWS! SafeWork Australia has just published a Model Code of Practice for health facilities.
Note on page 101 it says facilities MUST (not optional) ensure there is enough ventilation to avoid WHS risks including airborne pathogens.

Will Trump start calling measles "the America virus"?
Australia is terribly vulnerable too. We rely on US weapons and it's going to get worse if the submarines ever happen. I can imagine Trump or his sequel saying give us your minerals or we stop supplying parts for your subs/fighters/aircraft carriers (if not turn them off).
This is the most credible comment on American military reliability I’ve seen since the Trump regime began
