When my son was a baby, I burned a CD of Beatles songs for naptime. I can still easily picture my son's little freckled nose as he would drift off to sleep to it. We listened to a lot of Beatles over the years.
Today, my sweet 7-month-old grandbaby fell asleep on my shoulder to Mother Nature's Son.

I've been freelancing for two years with no meaningful financial pressure to work more than I do (after 30+ years of full-time 9-5 work.) Turns out, being the family floater is its own full-time work. How did I do all this before and not throw myself into the lake?

this morning, ICE went into a Spanish language immersion daycare and took a teacher from the building in front of screaming and crying kids and parents at dropoff and the daycare had to shut down for the day (near Lane Tech, where they were yesterday). Really hoping today's "theme" is not "daycare."

I have been thinking a lot about kayfabe, and how this kind of stuff breaks kayfabe in a way people have been really yearning for.
I love that Zohran did not praise Cuomo in his speech. You absolutely do not have to say nice things about bad people. We should normalize that in “polite” politics: Praising bad people is not actually “civility.”
