Huh, I did not know this. I watched the TV series with Robert Urich and Avery Brooks when I was a kid. I may or not have read one of the books 20 years ago but can't quite remember...
One moment that sticks in my mind from the early Robert B Parker Spenser novels is when Spenser notices an attractive lady and then realizes that she's a teenager. He immediately looks away and banishes her from his mind.
