Started browsing through it, hoping to find my first "console" in there. That is, a very specific famiclone that was sold as "Nintendo 64".
Instead, found another more recent famiclone that i had.
Such a weird one, since it used a CD instead of a cartridge.

we lost our way when disk space started allowing for fully-voiced game protagonists. the only things i want to hear out of my character's mouth is "uhmf" (jumping) or "oueurghh" (mauled by bear)

Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...

Everybody should just pirate everything. Download all the ROMs you can, play old games that Nintendo wants to charge you $60 for the privilege of playing again, anybody who has a problem with this has incurable cop-brain and you shouldn't listen to anything they say
tbh as much as official rereleases are good for accessibility, I also feel like a lot of people just won't play games if they don't have official versions and that's not great for culture. Everyone should be downloading random ROMs until they find that special one that breaks their brain wide open.

The dipping pen/fountain pen should be the defacto symbol for AI resistance.
Pilot had a massive ad spread in a jp newspaper with "make AI jealous" and "write what AI can't touch" written on it
Anyway I think everyone should own a Pilot kakuno pen

My mum just said to me "You should be hung like a horse". When I challenged her over saying such a thing, it transpires she thought it was a punishment horses got. Turns out she's been incorrectly using the phrase since the 90s in various settings

Tried to register on webleg (or "website league", kind of a long name) a few days ago.
Still no update on whether i got approved or denied.
I like the idea of verifying registrations on sites. But... I think i recall queue length indicator on cohost. Not sure if it's a false memory or not.
