its, some kind of cursed 5 pin usb mini b, or something idk, it doesnt have a name, its joever man. the connector is to a fujitsu loox pda with qwerty chiclet keys. an external gps antenna connector is also on the bottom

Take them to municipal hazardous waste centers or local battery recycling partners in your area, its usually free.

If its fixed in place, very carefully pry it out with something dull and non pointy. Its usually double sided adhesive tape.

If you have old tech you don't use regularly, pop the battery. It's safer to store that way. Unless of course it's glued in ..
