“I question the energy that is being dedicated to harming vulnerable people and children rather than tackling the much bigger and very real risks facing women and girls.”

A Brownie parent tackles Girlguiding banning trans girls: “It is an attack on children.”

Those who back banning trans girls from Girlguiding need to look at Brownie Law
...which clearly states: ‘A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself’ – something that seems to have been forgotten in making the decision to ban trans girls from Girlguiding. There are many risk...

Clearly, Women‘s voices and engagement in democracy don’t matter.

The Hampstead Women’s Pond user group has repeatedly upheld that Trans Women are welcome to swim in the Hampstead Women’s Pond.

What matters instead of democratic process is having the money for expensive lawyers to litigate.

Terry Pratchett wrote of Golems with no sex who chose to be identified as men … and Gladys … the Golem that identified as a woman … and was respected for *her* identity …

and wrote of the importance of words we *choose* for ourselves …

And making up our *own* mind on what that means.

The Audiobook of The Redstone Rescue is coming very soon, BUT if you bought if from Turn Another Page it should have been added to your account. Consider that a thank-you for getting my book early and for helping me test the platform!

Feeling particularly sorry for myself. Dental surgery on Monday had left me with 30 stitches along my gum and jaw. Have entered my Marlon Brando “Godfather” era. Some impressive swelling and bruising.

Has anyone stopped to ask if I *want* to be defined? Well, in case anyone was wondering, no. I don't want to be defined. I don't want to be defined by my sex, my genes, or by my "large gametes" (wtf is wrong with people, jesus christ). I thought that was the whole point of feminisim.

Had my very first panic attack after my return to work.
That wasn’t fun. But we persevere.

Today we went into a coffee shop - and it was so hipster it didn’t serve or was able to serve a black coffee.
It was simultaneously the best and worst of places. So we ended up at Costa.

Been pretty hard to get motivated the last week or so. All the eye issues around needing more surgery are wearing me down. However, could be a lot worse. But I think I’m allowed a wallow in self pity every so often. And a chocolate biscuit.

I’ve just managed to dye the household tea towels pink. Classic red sock error. Least it’s a nice bright even dye job!

Today is starting with a chocolate brownie mocha frappe. After all the sugar I might start to taste sounds.

Have found a chocolate cappuccino which is kinda nice. It’s like drinking a chocolate bar.
All the other stuff is quite overwhelming so I’m being grown up and ignoring it. That’s how it’s done - and I get a delicious drink.

Yesterday I learned that I need another round of eye surgery in the next few months. Once complete - that’ll be 6 eye operations in a year and a half.
I deserve the good coffee - with cream.

I have found leftover Christmas chocolate in the fridge. I repeat - leftover Christmas chocolate in the fridge. This is not a drill.

I have someone whom I thought was a good friend. But they haven’t contacted me for a couple of months and then I realised. I’m the one who contacts them, they rarely contact me unless they want or need something. Guess I’m currently not useful to be in contact with :(
