Bike lanes are only required to keep people safe *because of cars*
Bike lanes should be paid for by the folks who use them albeit very few. All of our resources between the 3 levels of government should be focused on greatly improving our Transit system here in HRM.
I’m hoping for a dedicated Transit lane across the Mag Hill so more folks can get out of their cars

Glacier the skunk is chowing down on an apple in her home at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Until 1993, Glacier would have been in Family Mustelidae with weasels & badgers.
But molecular evidence showed that her ancestors diverged 60 MYA, so she gets her own family: Mephitidae which means, roughly, "stinky."

Also important to add that the Nazis were not trying to purge non-white people, American whiteness wasn’t how they conceived their racial project, it was non-aryan people which excluded many white by American race conceptions of the time as well. German Jews, Nazis decided were not German or Aryan.
I’m seeing enough of this in my mentions today that I, a Black Jew, need to remind everyone that in the 1930s, European Jews were not considered white and that’s why the Nazis slaughtered them and part of why other countries including the United States refused refuge to many of them

This almost happened to the BMW on Hornsey Rd who overtook me while someone else was pulling out of a parking space, only to get stuck at the lights on the junction with Seven Sisters. Same car then overtook me again on Tollington Pk, a narrow, double parked road with a primary school & nursery on.
One of these days some idiot in an SUV will recklessly overtake me on my e-bike and collide with another car or worse a pedestrian right in front of me. I hope it’s a car but I even more would like these idiots to gain an iota of patience.
