I don't know if the previous (admittedly fairly vague) post got the point across

Money very short rn; we have a place but the process is obliterating what few disability bucks I even had; could really use a hand.

It is so very damning that the end result of entirely inadequate gun control laws -- equipping students with the means to deter potential gun-toting murderers who are looking to shoot up a place -- is now used as a cudgel against cops who are gun-toting murderers looking to shoot up the place.
They do though. They _all_ know how to barricade themselves because school shooter drills were what the cops recommended instead of literally any kind of law enforcement that might prevent school shootings.

see what strikes me as odd, and forgive me for saying this, is how when i said that you have such pretty and long eyelashes for a boy - that they were almost like a girl's, even - you didn't seem to get upset at all! why, instead you were suddenly really quiet and bashful. and ain't that something

I argue that AI never had "magic" to begin with. Most of it was projected onto it, and a lot of it was done as labor by humans on the back-end. There is no "magic" in AI outcomes: oppression, lost jobs, biases, exclusion, rigidity, fragmentation of society, dissolution of community services, etc.
I find articles like this strange. I’m not sure how this tech produces “delight,” so sadness that the joy is no longer there when using them is a curious response. I guess since I mainly see them as pointless extraction machines that I can’t be disappointed that the thrill is gone.
AI Has Lost Its Magic
That’s how you know it’s taking over.
