Dedicated to helping connect others to the land around them. All photos mine, unless reposted.
You just can't worry about others looking down at you if you work at a goal you're aiming toward. Is it right? Do it.

Territories.
In my day to day world, I watch people struggle to set and secure territory. I wonder - should I be happy or sad for those who finally achieve? So often, once they get there, they are unfulfilled. Am I sad they got there and were then unfulfilled, or happy they achieved the goal set?

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Oh...you love the Winter Solstice as much as I do??

I'm never quite sure why I need to be hurrying all the time. I'm perfectly fine taking my time.

Pleased that I took Samhain off from posting and that I took Halloween off from giving out candy.

I know modern society demands we keep pounding forward...but this time of the year urges us to rest and reflect.

One Winter morning, across the street from me, a Cooper's Hawk caught a Mourning Dove (abundant around town) and with spread wings - a protective posture called mantling - called fiercely 🌿🪶

Hello Bluesky! I’m so happy to see many familiar plant people here! I missed my botany twitter community. It’s still flower season over here in CA so I’ll be posting some desert flora updates soon! But for now here is some SoCal fall color. 😊

My husband is an artist who makes orreries (clockwork planetary models) out of metal and glass. When I was struggling to finish my novel, he made me a deal: if I finished the book, he'd make me an orrery based on the world of my novel.
It's freaking BEAUTIFUL.

Don't mind me, just pulling over by this random field to see what kind of birds those are.

Feel like we're in the gloaming - fading light of Summer, cascading in to harvest season, flowing toward a Winter's rest. And it's a beautiful time to reconnect with myself and the land around us.
